the day I leave home.
The day I turn away- walk away-
and leave everything behind.
I can't say I'm proud,
because my family is broken
into a thousand pieces
of tinted glass.
People stare
and I look back in their eyes.
That's when they turn away
in fear of catching my disease.
But one stares back
and looks right through me,
past all my lies and walls
